We at ORION think: love, just like life, is colourful and diverse. There is no one right way to love – there are lots of different ways and everyone, including couples, should decide for themselves whoever and however they want to love. This is not only reflected in our products in the online store and wholesale but also in our employees who deal with our customers’ wishes and questions.
They are part of our team which works here in Flensburg, Germany with a great deal of passion for love. We have 300 employees in our team and we are just as open and diverse as our customers. We have fun doing what we do because we get to devote ourselves daily to the most beautiful pastime in the world which is the main thing for us. It’s not just our women’s quota of 69 percent that makes us special but above all our team spirit which we love and pass on to our customers: be who you want to be, be tolerant, be yourself.

Many strong relationships at ORION first began with a handshake – and they continue to this day. Like the one between ORION Versand and the Stores: Werner Susemichel was only looking for a wholesale supplier for his erotic stores in the mid-1980s and wanted to get an idea of the Wholesale business that had just been founded in Flensburg. The non-binding acquaintance between him and the ORION Versand founder, Dirk Rotermund, turned into something more – with a handshake, they both agreed to rename the erotic stores ORION. Today, the chain of stores is the market leader in Europe.
