Topless and 4000 Carats
Seven years, 8,340 photos and 26 touching shoots – that’s what Franziska Nehmer from Flensburg looks back on. The photographer, who has already done numerous employee shoots and company photos at ORION, opened her exhibition “Images of Women” on 3 September. What is it about? It’s about beauty, femininity, women. We at ORION also think that every woman is different, every woman is beautiful, inside and out. And that is exactly why it was a matter of the heart for us to support Franziska Nehmer as a sponsor in her topless project and the 4000Karat project, which are now united in the exhibition “Images of Women”. There is heart in it, there are stories and fates, there is hope and joy, but above all there is the relief that all the women photographed can see themselves in the exhibition. Some of them were photographed during their chemotherapy – a time when it is especially important to give oneself love, to feel attractive, to look in the mirror and to say: I love myself despite all circumstances. And it is precisely this message that this exhibition conveys. It will be open until 15 October on Thursdays from 2 to 7 p.m., Fridays from 2 to 6 p.m. and Saturdays from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. at Nikolaistraße 10 in Flensburg. Another hot tip from ORION: on Thursdays, the artist herself is also present and looks forward to exchanging ideas!
